Booking Terms and Conditions
We would like to remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract.
A deposit of £30.00 per person is required to secure a booking, however this may be £150.00 for special breaks such as Christmas and New Year, or 25% of the estimated total for private functions such as House Parties and Weddings.
A service charge of 10% is payable on function bookings.
All deposits are non-refundable.
If a deposit of £30.00pp has been paid in respect of a private room booked direct with the hotel at normal rack rates, and is then cancelled with a minimum of 8 days notice, the deposit will be held for a period of 12 months from the date of the payment, to use against a further booking within this time period. There can be no allowance or reduction for curtailment of holidays.
We regret that all cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will incur a cancellation fee of the full room rate applicable unless we can subsequently re-let the room on behalf of the guest, whereupon, only the deposit will be forfeited.
Any group bookings for 2 rooms or more will be subject to the following terms and conditions:
The person organising the booking will be solely responsible for all aspects of the reservation and compliance with our terms and conditions of business.
A letter of confirmation will be issued for all accommodation. This is a contract and as such is a legal document. In the event of any cancellations or rooms unable to be re-let this person will be responsible for any charges incurred.
Loyalty Card Discount is not applicable to the accommodation rates on Special Offers and Breaks. However, it may still be used for extras such as lunch, early morning tea/coffee etc.
We are happy to amend bookings but any adjustment will incur an administration fee of £10.00.
From March 1st 2007, credit card transactions will incur an administration fee of £2.00 per transaction.
House Rules
For guest's comfort and health we operate a strict "No Smoking" Policy throughout the hotel. If we suspect that guests have smoked in the bedrooms or the public areas, we reserve the right to add a charge of £150.00 to the guest account for the cleaning of soft furnishings, carpets etc ….
We regret that we do not take pets in the main house. But, there are several rooms available in the Coach House. Dogs, however well behaved, must not be left in the bedrooms unattended - at meal times just pop them into your vehicle. Alternatively, we can offer the services of a dog sitter at the rate of £6.00 per evening if booked in advance. We make a nominal charge of £7.50 per dog per night.
Rooms are available from 2.00pm on the day of arrival and we request that you vacate your room by 11.00am on the morning of departure. Late departures are sometimes possible and may be arranged with Reception at a nominal charge.
Restaurant dress code for Dinner and Sunday Luncheon is smart casual -no sports wear, trainers or denim jeans/skirts.
We respectfully request that you switch off your mobile telephone before being seated in the Dining Room.
'Single occupancy of Double/Twin – Add £25.00 per night to the per person rate
Third Adult in room - £47.00 R&B. Child 12 or under in room - £15.00 per night R&B.
Cot & Bedding hire - £5.00 per night.
